So the only thing required to make Chase Sapphire Reserve card cost effective is
1. Put $4K of purchases on the card in the first 3 months
2. Continue paying off the card balance in full every month

Then I get the 100,000 bonus points that are immediately redeemable for purchases that give me a $1,500+ value? Are the things available in the portal things that most people would be buying anyway? Is the portal available to non-card holders so they can see what is available there?

The other thing I would do to make it more cost effective?

3. Put travel costs on this card to maximize the $300 travel credit

I think there's a reason I'm not a CC churner . . .
