If the league folds in a year or 2, which it likely will, the players would have nowhere to go since they would be inelligible for the NCAA and not yet old enough for the NFL. The best they could hope for would be training privately for a year or two and hoping to land on an NFL roster as an UDFA. I get what they are trying to do, but they are banking having enough funding to stick around, because they'll likely get little to no revenue, and getting enough good talent that they could compare to the NCAA in difficultly level. A 5 star recruit tearing up a bunch of 2 or 3 star recruits for 3 years isn't going to look nearly as good as a 3 star recruit who turns in a strong season at a major program.
