One might call us an Independent P5-worthy Program.

We merit the same status as the P5 members. The only reason we're not a member is religious discrimination, so it's insulting to BYU to say that until we earn our way with the big boys we're a mid-major. We have earned our way.

I suppose members of the MWC, MAC and American could be called Mid-majors, although I don't favor the term.

At the same time, we are playing 6 p5 teams every year. In the MWC, you play one or two. Then if you bust you get three.

In 2008 Utah beat 4 teams that FINISHED ranked. That is tougher than any of
