outliers speaks of advantages for athletes. I agree with those conclusions. But this post says "all" the research

says to start him later.... but most kids have no chance at major athletics so what I remember about outliers would only apply to some kids.

So I'm curious what research suggests that if your kids are mature and good students that leaving them in the grade they are supposed to be in is unwise.
