I'm mid 30s, but I switched jobs not too long ago with good results.
My new job is in the same field, but new scenery helped a lot. Also, the new job is different enough that it's made a big difference.

Old job: big firm, lots of red tape, not much autonomy, fast pace and high pressure. Loved my boss and the people I worked with, but I hated my job. Had major dread Sunday night and every morning. I was pretty miserable.

New job: same work, but more diversity in what I do because we're a smaller firm so people are expected to do a bit of everything (mostly of the things I like to do). Small firm, less red tape, more autonomy, reasonable pace and not nearly the same pressure. There are downsides to where I work, and I don't plan on being here forever, but the change has been good.

A change for you in the same field may be good for you, too. If you can find the right fit.

Good luck!
