No offense taken. I hear what you're saying.
I'm just not a fan of your communication style. The hyperbole and stating your opinion as fact ("not a chance," "no reason at all," and "no way") bring unnecessary conflict into what was previously a civil discussion.

And upperclassmen often get redshirted. Off the top of my head, Trey Dye comes to mind. He redshirted last year as a Junior. Not to mention guys like Taysom, Lapuaho, and Takitaki who redshirted for injury/eligibility reasons as upperclassmen.

For tracking purposes, all a redshirt means is that an extra season of eligibility is maintained through either lack of game participation or injury prohibiting participation beyond the first half of the season. It doesn't mean the program will choose to use that additional season. The coaches may elect to push a player out after four years even when an additional year of eligibility remains. Theodore King and AJ Moore were honored with the seniors in 2015 even though both were listed as juniors on the roster. They did not return for their fifth year.

When I talk about potential redshirts, I'm just pointing out guys who have not yet used a redshirt and who have a chance of not seeing any playing time this season. I would guess that Hadley, for example, will re-enter the safety mix and probably see time there (as well as on special teams) this year, thereby making the whole discussion moot. But, in the interest of full inclusion, and since the possibility is there, I included him on the list as a potential non-participant with a redshirt year still available (whether or not the coaches elect to use it). That's all my intent was.
