vote went contrary to what everyone expected, it dropped rates by about 1/4 of a point, if I remember correctly. I got on the phone with our broker and explained that I'd like to stay with the loan I got, but the market had changed and I wanted to see if there was any way to get the lower rate. He negotiated with the lender and we were able to get the lower rate, but we agreed to pay a small fee for the change. It seemed fair to me.
