Transcript of Rose's reasoning behind transfers, poor schedule:
Re: transfers:

"I think we've had a few, where maybe there was a misevaluation. There's always those guys who it looks like everything's going fine but when you really break it down from the inside the effort isn't what it needs to be, maybe the classroom effort isn't what it needs to be, maybe...there's other things that you can attribute to having a guy leave. I think that that class that we signed that we had...the hype of that class, where we had 4-5 Top 100 kids in that class, I think that kind of scared some of the guys off. But the bottom line is we got some really good players in our program, I expect a lot out of them, and I don't think our expectations change at all..."

Re: schedule:

"I hope (the NCAA's stated emphasis on Top 75 RPI road wins going forward) will help us, because if you look at the last several years we've been below that number, so if a team thinks it can beat us here at the Marriott Center that they will get a quality win out of us, and that's a plus. But the issue is they don't want to come. Tim was right - I thought we had four of them done at different times, and it didn't happen. We were looking for them to start at our place this year. The Utah game last year being pulled out from under us, and we had to fill that with the Princeton game...it was good for us last year, but it makes it harder for us this year, because now we have to return a game to Princeton. Um, and then the Utah game is back on the schedule so that's kind of thrown a wrench into things. But I like our schedule, I think our schedule is competitive. I think our schedule is good enough that if we win them all and do what we need to do in the league that we'll get into the Tournament, and that's all you can ask for."
