If a player in a similar situation were picked up by Sitake and helped through the process of making life changes and finishing out honorably at BYU, we would all be heaping praise upon him. But, when Coach Whittingham does it at Utah, it's somehow wrong?

I like to see these players getting second chances, having success, and getting back on track for a better life, wherever it may be. And a school with less stringent academic requirements likely provides an even softer landing spot where it may not be possible with the academic and moral requirements of BYU. As long as everything is done within the standards of the institution and the NCAA, I think it's admirable that players can get a second chance and overcome past mistakes.
