My boy(12) plays and has complained once about a head to head at practice.
While the NFL and college can make some significant advances in safety and helmet design. Youth organizations can't afford and have not taken necessary precautions. I still see coaches and parents pushing their kids when they shouldn't. This was the case with the head injury at Dixie High this year.

I was floored watching the Netflix show Little Tykes. Parents and coaches need more education.

My boy did not suffer a concussion at all according to his doctor. My son that is into mountain biking has suffered a concussion. I'm sure I suffered a lot of concussions as a kid and most kids playing youth football won't play past high school.
