Football honks try to claim that lie because A. Misery wants company and B. They see soccer as a threat encroaching on their traditional sport anyway, so another threat (CTE) is intolerable.
Soccer, as well as lacrosse, Hockey etc all have their issues with head injuries. But American football is way on another level with CTE. It's a COLLISION sport for goodness sakes.
