I took a couple of my kids on a work trip with me - they checked things out while I was in a conference, and we stayed an extra day to check things out. Took the Segway Tour and they LOVED it. We rolled from the Capital to the Lincoln Memorial - which would've been an awful long walk. And got to see all of the memorials in between.
The kids do have to be 16+ in order to do this though.
Funny story - my daughter was a History Education Major in college at the time. We met our tour guide and chatted for a bit - asked him about himself, how he liked the job, etc. He made some comment about loving it - except when there are know-it-all History majors on the tour. My daughter asked him "So - how do you feel about History EDUCATION Majors?"
No response. Haha!
