Hit the nail on the head. The first game of the year the corners are playing more zone than expected (against an FCS school?!!), especially after how they performed the previous season. Why play zone? There are player issues in the middle of the defense. Cougs missed Nacua dearly. The guy had smarts that compensated for his limitations. This year Bernard is out so two Safeties are moved down to LB. Bernard was an LB who could pass cover (lacked LBs with that skill this year). Lost depth and experience at Safety. Pass cover was weak throughout the entire season. WHEW! Feel better
