have to share revenue and they only need enough attendance to cover the stadium rental etc. In the CFP ESPN is a vendor and does not own the games...the P5 and to lesser extent the G5 own that system.
In the original negotiation ESPN told them the amount of money was fixed be it 4 or 8 games. Now since the hype is making it a bigger deal they might want to expand and eliminate the NY6 (which they do not own), but the P5 is pulling the strings and I don't see any way they modify the contract until it expires. By then we could see just a P4
