Everyone wants to play but nobody wants to help organize things.

Last year, there were two of us that ran the show. I officiated every single game. It was a huge time commitment, and was hardly worth the angry comments I’d get.

The other guy moved away. I’ve asked all the ward athletic coordinators for volunteers to help but nobody responds.

On top of that, the stake won’t let us schedule the gym until 9:00 pm on weeknights, which makes it hard to get in a schedule of games.

We will probably just do a tournament over a couple of Saturdays and call it good. There will be complaints but I don’t know what people expect me to do.

I tried to organize a stake 5k a year ago and the ward reps said if it’s a stake activity, the stake should be in charge of running the activity. Well, the stake athletic “group” is just me, so....

My best advice is if you want church ball to happen, maybe step in and help.
