I would like a 100% non PC answer as to whether
Ty was able to choose his offensive staff

OR

Was Ty stuck with what BYU was willing to pay for and people who Kalani knew would take the job and who he approved of.

IF

Ty was not given 100% autonomy, not given adequate time and not given a decent budget to pursue and hire his own people for Offensive line, Receivers, Running backs and TE's and possibly a QB coach, then Kalani and Tom need to come forward and take their lumps and admit that they hamstrung Ty and then used him as their scapegoat.

The truth needs to come out-that truth may not be flattering to Tom and Kalani and that truth may not be flattering to Ty but it needs to come out and let the chips fall where they may. Something was wrong with the team and the offense last year that goes beyond just Detmer and we are not being told the truth. We get snippets of incidents of a major break down in discipline and accountability. We get snippets of incidents/examples of major division and lack of unity. In terms of team culture and unity, the buck stops with Kalani and he failed in that regard.

Notice at no time did I say that Ty did not perform and that he should not have been let go. I however take issue 100% with how Kalani handled Ty, and Kalani and Tom have and will continue to pay the price for such a PR blunder and deservedly so.
