Last year he lost control of the team. This year he bright Schroyer back to regain control. His coaching style has been putting guys in the doghouse and then cycling them out at the end of the year and hoping their replacements will somehow be better (they never are) instead of developing them patiently so they produce as juniors and seniors.
He has been at BYU 20 years. Very, very few coaches stay sharp that long. It looks like he is going out like Mike Montgomery who admitted later he was burned out at Stanford and should have left earlier.
