You lost me at Jordan Chatman star player and giving away Frank Bartley.

Chatman is not a star player by any stretch or definition. He would have been a very important player for BYU and losing guys like him hurts.

Bartley was not given away. The coaches were blindsided by his departure and were counting on him for future years. It was not an Isaac Nielsen situation.
