We spent all of our money (including what my parents sent each month) on transportation getting around to investigators, as well as helping an old poor non-member neighbor down the street and a few other destitute families with about $30 pesos worth of eggs, flour and vegetable oil. We had no money except for a few pesos and we were out of food.
I found myself with enough money to buy a small bag of Totis, basically cheetos in the shape and size of cheerios, and then I poured them into a bowl with water and that's what I had for breakfast.
It wasn't but twenty minutes later after I'd eaten my "cereal" that the old neighbor lady knocked on our door with some fresh made tortillas and eggs she made for us and wanted to give us as a thank you. They were the best eggs and tortillas I've ever eaten.
