I had $700 to my name when I came home from my mission and then two weeks later
I bought a $700 wedding ring. Wiped me out. Next day, I went with my brother to a class to be a construction sign holder.
Couldn't bring myself to stand out in the sun for hours on end holding a sign...so I took a job being an assistant dietary aide at the rest home my new fiance worked at. Got paid a lot less to puree spinach and liver than I would have gotten holding that sign. 🙂
