A guy like Bryant is gonna get the same number of opportunities in Europe, whether he is 22 or 23 or 24 years old.
And I would argue that, in the end, playing 9 years of pro ball in Europe instead of 8 years (or whatever) isn't going to change Bryant's life very much.
But one extra year at BYU could have cemented him as a legend at the school, especially if he had led BYU to it first WCC title or won conference player of the year, or something similar.
That would mean a lot to me, if I were in his situation. But obviously I'm not, and he clearly thinks differently than I do.
