The fact that a bidding war could happen is enough evidence that players are
being underpaid in the current system.
Frankly, it makes little sense to have the NBA/NFL farm teams connected to colleges in the first place, except to take advantage of the colleges' tax-exempt status.
I still don't understand why a great athlete should have to take classes and score so high on an academic test to participate in our athletic system.
