There are 70 million people in the pac footprint

You said their footprint was small, and that is not true. It’s comparable in population to other conferences and contains half the geographic land mass of the contiguous states.
You may not be a fan of late games, but networks pay a premium for them because the pac has a monopoly on them and networks get way more viewership for those games than their standard late programming
Compare the big 12 tv agreement with the pacs. The pac’s pays slightly more per team and there are more teams. What does that say about the footprint?
