Obviously some of that has to do with the quality of defenses as well. Slinging the ball around in quite a bit of the PAC isn't quite the same as two SEC schools, one of the top (typically) PAC defenses, and what is almost always a good Boise D.
Also, mentioning "19" is fluff, and you're making it look like he was a brand new true freshman. He was a soph and did make it on the field even if only briefly as a freshman.
It's definitely biased because you don't get to just throw out the term "P5" like there's one standard. Or "P12" for that matter. Let's be real here. We know a ton of the PAC has garbage defense, and passing will be especially high.
UCLA #120 defense
Arizona, #115
ASU #105
Oregon #61
WSU #29
Washington #6 (but 26th pass D). 7 INTs against ASU and WSU.
LSU- #18
MSU- #19 (#4 pass)
Boise- #30
Utah- #34
Also Fresno was #13
We don't get to simply list P5 names as if they're all created equal. There are a bunch of G5's I'd be happy to have good performances against, instead of x number of P5's that are just trash.
Context. Not just empty numbers.
I'm not even arguing for one or the other. But the reasoning is flawed.
