This is one of the most perplexing aspect of Disney Star Wars. They seem to just be winging it and have no story arc
Set up in advance. They should have done like Marvel and had a big story arc set up with an end goal in mind. Instead they seem to have no plan.

They need to stop and come up with a long overarching story to tell over many movies. It's what they should have done

True. More blame should be on Kathleen Kennedy for not having a story arc ready. Too bad they couldn’t have Marvel’s guy
