I think the fallout from the last Jedi was a viral overreaction and people started to feel obligated to hate it because thats what they were hearing from so called star wars purists. These people that make videos and write articles and posts nit picking all the stuff in the film that doesn't make sense and couldn't be real need to take a few breaths and remember its entertainment...its fantasy and its not real. It had flaws...but it was fun theater, great cinematography, solid acting, good twists, surprises, stunts. I think it became fashionable to hate on something that was actually decent. And I'm not alone in that feeling. Critics liked it. And I went in with low expectations to Solo and came away thinking wow...they did it...they had someone else play Han Solo and it was pretty awesome. I wanted more. But i guess my reaction was different then the general public's reaction in terms of it not making as much money as they thought and putting the brakes on it...so i blame the general public for them not wanting to make a sequel to this. I'd love to see a sequel as much so if not more so than multiple captain americas. I feel like solo was just as deserving of a sequel as any of the individual marvel character movies were. So i'm bummed. If its true they are slowing down production on star wars movies...i blame the guys that just had to dump all over something that was good that other people enjoyed.
