with star wars. Star Wars was dead in the water with the prequels. The force Awakens was a massive improvement and a worthy treatment of the star wars universe. It was a resurrection of the franchise. Abrams did a similar thing with Star Trek but he actually made it watchable. People's expectations are somewhere out there in the universe if they can't accept the recently released star wars films. They have been at the very least fine and to many of us they have been very good and fantastic theater going experiences. Star wars fans have become so hard to please that I think its impossible for them to enjoy it for what it is anymore.
