That deal was so badly done and really put BYU in a bind with its fans.

I have no insider info but from my observation of large organizations, when a problem as significant as The Mtn (and subsequently the MWC administration) arises you can bet your last dollar the people in charge will not let that happen again.

It’s just my guess but I’d wager the agreement put forth by BYU attorneys had more stipulations and requirements than those from any other school.

Hence the feedback about BYU being “difficult to deal with”. I think it’s very possible these comments were directed more at contractual impositions from BYU than toward Sunday play.
