ACT average in 2017 was 29.2. I had thought I read an article that said 29.5, but regardless, the ACT scores were not stagnant. 1/2 pt to 3/4 pt lower is still somewhat significant, considering the fact that they had been rising by 1/2 point every year. I don't think this has any impact on sports. I think that they don't do a great job of recruiting.
