Someone may have to correct me, but my memory is that BYU didn't offer him until late because of the recruitment of Tanner Mckee, right? Once Tanner Mckee wasn't going to sign with BYU, Zach Wilson was offered and and then flipped his commitment from Boise to BYU. Is that correct?
Tanner Mckee is a mission first kid though and Zach Wilson wasn't. So what was the staff going to do for a QB this year if Tanner Mckee did sign with BYU? It seems evident another QB this year was needed. And if they still were going to bring in one, why did it take so long to offer Wilson? The kid can obviously play, had some nice offers, and was in BYU's own back yard.
