It is a good illustration of why his escalating the situation won't solve the problem.
In fact, upon rethinking, I wouldn't have my dog poop in his yard. I'd have her pee. Leave burn spots all over for him (female dog pee is a killer). Sorry, I can't pick up pee.

The person at fault here is the person pooping their dog on somebody else's lawn and not cleaning it up.
