it was long enough ago. and he was an NFL qb with an NFL rb and a
solid coach. none of those things are here now.
and only 65th talent coming through the program for 5 years now. that point can't be overstated or emphasized enough. I would propose that the last 5-6 years byu has had the worst recruiting numbers since football changed in about 1980.
we don't have a class rolling through with a lot of talent. we have g5 talent now, through and through. that hurts. we are overmatched in at least 6 games this year. every p5 game and boise. we "should" lose all of those games on paper. heck, right now USU is actually rated above us on paper.
that's a sad state of affairs folks. and i'm not over-reacting to one bad season.
