he just passed out with a core temperature of 109. The water got into his lungs and caused some problems which reared their head on the run and then turned into some type of lung infection.

He was pretty close to dying with what his body was doing and then the infection.

Luckily, he is completely back to himself now and continues to be very active! But I don't think he'll ever do an Ironman again.
