That makes them just like everyone else...
everyone has a wait list of people unwilling to pay for what they're getting. Acting as if there is this list of 15,000+ waiting to buy tickets that are unavailable to buy is disingenuous, they're available but the people don't think they're worth the asking price which essentially means the "wait list" is a bunch of bunk.

I'm sure they could sell many thousands of tickets more if the price was low enough. I don't know what the actual numbers are for Utah, the numbers where value meets availability, but I would estimate it is nowhere near 15,000

I think TV is a big part of that. I have had BYU season tickets for 38 years but I only attend 2-3 games per year any longer because it is so much easier to just stay home and watch it on TV. Now what Utah is putting out there is much more exciting than what BYU is offering people at this point in time so there is value in that but even at that I doubt Utah could expand by 15,000 and see every week sellouts. I'm guessing this number they are discussing is probably pretty close to correct when it comes to maintaining a full stadium and not having some empty seats most weeks.

And I have been to RES for two game this year, Washington and USC so probably the two most desirable games they've had there this year and there were empty seats at both. Yes a sellout was announced, and I'm sure all tickets were sold, but neither game had a completely full stadium. People, and I'm one of them, buy tickets but stay home sometimes.
