What I mean is that they would sacrifice travel costs in favor of what? The only reason they thought of going to the big east was it was a bcs conference and once that was evident they stayed in mwc.

The American conference is only slightly better from a competition standpoint but in no better position to be in the playoffs.

The only reason mwc isn’t seen as a viable situation is that byu would be returning like a dog with its tail between its legs and eat a big dose of humble pie.

If byu wants to ramp up out of conference play and cut out fcs schools from the schedule it won’t be much different then the current state of affairs as Indy as far as competition is concerned.

4 upper tier g5 or power 5 teams
