They said that the playoff is set up for P5 and independent schools (thank you Notre Dame). Interestingly, they didn't say Notre Dame, though, they said independents. Other than Lee Corso, all the commentators were saying that G5, like UCF, has no shot because of their schedule. Winning out with a schedule like BYU's, where you play some tough competition, is the only way to get there.
I have no UCF envy, except that they are winning. We can't point to the difficulty of our independent schedule being the cause until we start beating teams like Northern Illinois and scoring for the 4 yard line in the BSU game. The problem right now is not independence.
