BYU had a chance this year to have a very good season if not for play calling
by the coaches in games we should have won.

1) Cal game - two wildcat plays with Hodge killed the offensive momentum in that game and was never regained

2) NIU - 40+ rushes against a stone wall defense

3) Multiple runs in final two minutes of the Boise game

4) Refusing to pass the ball on 1st/2nd downs against Utah in the 4th quarter possessions

Bonus - Hanging with Tanner too long in the Washington game / bad turnover at the end of the first half making it 21-0 instead of 14-0.

Tanner's Pick 6 destroying the momentum in the USU game and opening the flood gates.
The current group of young players on offense and an above average defense (when not playing prevent) has essentially kept us in all but two games this year. Should have been a different result if the players are given the chance to make plays and win the game.

If offered the job, Jay Hill would be at BYU quickly. Silliness to think that BYU is so bad that plans are being made to demolition the stadium and end the football program. With the very intriguing schedule the next two years, I am confident we sign some good JV players to go with our young core and make some noise.
