It was the same Stanford team but not the same BYU team sans Miller.
Stanford knew this and adjusted their rotation so that their best blocking combo was always on Jones-Perry.
And when our passing was sub-par, Stanford could always have at least a double block on our hitter, whoever it was, because they knew where the set was going.
