From what I’ve heard is BYU offered and that’s where Cooper wanted to go. That he text Kalani that he was committing to BYU but that then Kalani never text him back. (Sounds like a classic Utah noncommitable offer)

Now he obviously isn’t as high on BYU after that and is being woo’d hard by Gary Anderson (who is a dang good recruiter) to go to Utah State.

Other big note here is that Puka and Cooper are close and that Puka of course doesn’t like the way BYU treated his friend. And that Puka has even brought that up to BYU coaches.

I’m guessing all of this could be taken care of, but it’s going to take some heart to heart conversations from Kalani.

I also think that cooper is absolutely a D1 football playmaker. I think there’s a multitude of positions he could play but I’m becoming more and more convinced to he could be a big time QB at that level even. He was the best player on the field in that all-star game and was named the MVP.
