You've got to earn my tip. I am a very generous tipper, but you've got to earn it.
I budget money every paycheck for "charitable giving" which is outside of our tithing and fast offering money. This is specifically for tipping on our date nights or other occasions (homeless, single mothers, etc.). It is a generous amount, but if there is even the smallest sense of entitlement then you're just getting the standard. Go above and beyond, and you'll have a very nice surprise.
