Everyone is different for sure, but personally I enjoyed my time at BYU-Idaho about 1000 times more than my time in Provo, with the one exception of football games. But we all watched every BYU game we could on tv, so it was ok. Didn’t even think or care about shorts at the time, and nobody said anything about wearing sandals except in the testing center. Just my two cents, and again, I know everyone is different and not all will have had the same experience as me.
