I feel like this is a fair question. I'm not sure it's the official Democrat
policy to allow drug use and shoplifting. That may not be a fair statement to make. But the Democrats in Seattle are the ones doing this, all while saying they want to tax more to fund things that aren't helping at all.

The proposed solution that's working in Rhode Island utilizes free medication, and I feel like that's more a Democrat ideal as well - and I'm not against that.
