If we didn't expect NCAA, 20 wins and owning state rivals is pretty good.
We expect NCAA appearances which is why he is feeling heat despite NCAA 8/14 years and a top 7 win % coach.
Likewise people expected Bronco to win 10 + games and finish in the top 25. He got heat despite finished there 5/11 years and winning 8-9 games in "down years" (9 wins is just over the average for the last 45 years which included a HOF coach).
Football made a move and now an 8-9 win season would be considered great, not a "down year". Bar got lowered very quick and no reason to expect better results than someone who is winning at a high rate.
