I wonder how people would feel if their son or daughter were in competition for
that graduate position and had better merits other than the ability to play football. The position available is for an academic position; they complaining here is football fandom based.
Now, if it can be done without booting someone else with better qualifications, that would be the thing to do; however, if I understand it correctly, that's not up to the athletic department.

Problem is that USC has a MA in Mass Comm. He has to be admitted to a program at BYU that USC doesn't have.
