absolutely as good as the teams Auburn beat, like lowly Georgia and Alabama.
Gotta love Utes talking about such a tough schedule when the two most difficult opponents were losses, and from there, they beat a down Stanford team, and an Oregon team that finished one spot lower in that very division. SOOOO difficult. Especially getting stomped yet again by powerhouse ASU.
They flat out didn't beat anyone and they need to be OK with it. There's no "even with a down year." No, that down year means everything. When Stanford and USC and UCLA and Oregon are all just average to below average, it changes everything. I'll never renege on the argument that making it there still had more to do with the lack of competition than them being a high quality team in the title game. They showed it with the ugly bowl loss. They didn't have to claw their way through anything. Well, they did with two teams, and they lost.
