That's 9 seasons of underachieving (and Carroll's last year in LA wasn't all that great, either).
During that span, Oregon has played for a national title and appeared in the college football playoff; Washington has appeared in the playoff; and Stanford (STANFORD!?!) has frequently been the best team in California. Over that 9-year period, USC's best season has been 2017's 3-loss team, and they've replaced one athletic director, fired two head coaches, and nearly fired another.
USC hasn't been USC for a decade, and if you can't see that then your rose-colored glasses are on tight.
