When Chip Kelly was at Oregon the PAC was considered strong

And Washington is a couple seasons away from doing the same thing for the PAC 12. Stanford did it for the conference before that. The conference has been perceived as strong, even during prolonged down periods at USC.

There's no question that USC has the best brand on the west coast, and I hope they turn things around. But I think they're a lot closer to turning into a Nebraska/Miami/UCLA than fans would like to admit.
