Quitting a job over a manager who isn’t pouring praise on you seems like a drastic step. Maybe there are a million jobs like his and he could just jump ship. If so, go for it. Do what you gotta do. But his post sounded like “I love my job but my boss doesn’t recognize I’m doing awesome”. If that’s the case, talk it out with her and see what the deal is.
I had a job where I didn’t feel my boss was recognizing what I was doing. I talked to him and he felt my position was too close to his position and it was hard to be a boss to someone similar in job title and responsibilities. We talked it out. Got along fine.
Just saying sometimes things are challenging. Find a solution.
