My take on loss of privileges - don’t take away the good things.

I hate it when parents, as a punishment, take away the things that make a kid grow and become better. Take away treats, video games, etc. But don’t take things that are valuable to their growth just because a kid loves it. Sure, it will have emotional impact, but it sets them back in unintended ways.
