I agree to an extent, but disagree in that I would want the length of the

punishment to match up more closely with the length of the sister's recovery time. During that time, he should be given a choice of things he can do daily (or weekly) to serve his sister. Not difficult, harsh "punishment-type" things, but acts of service to show love. At least I would want to propose such an option with the wife. Just a thought.
